Mission

Ripley group is committed to provide quality services to its customers. It will also satisfy all other stakeholders and grow as one of the leading logistics organizations in India. Further, the group aims at utilizing its expertise for enhancing international trade.

Achievements

   Handling & transportation of around 20 million tons of various commodities (steel, iron-ore, coal, coke, limestone, fertilizer, etc) per annum at Kolkata, Haldia, Paradip and Vizag ports.

    Excavation & transportation of 1 million tons of bulk cargo per annum.

    Barge operation: Around 1.0 million tons per annum (approx).

The group is proud of its association with 2 BOT terminals in eastern part of the country. While in Visakhapatnam, it has been a successful stint with Vizag Seaport Pvt. Ltd. (VSPL) which handles 8 million tonnes of cargo p.a. In Haldia, the alliance has been with International Seaports (Haldia) Pvt. Ltd which discharges 3.5 million tonnes cargo p.a. and it is also the first BOT Terminal in eastern India.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

WE HAVE RECEIVED THE PRETIGIOUS ISO CERTIFICATE FROM WORLD’S PREMIER ISO ACCREDITATION BODY, BSI FOR OUR HALDIA UNIT.

What was quite challenging to our company was that 9001:2015 is the latest standard  which draws heavily upon management approaches to systems and site practices on hygiene & safety than mere documentation unlike the last standard of 2008.  While several erstwhile ISO-companies are striving for this latest standard, we have made it and that too without involving any consultant !

CREDIT RATING

The company has recently been awarded A2+ and BBB+ ratings as a first timer by ICRA for short-trm and long-term loans respectively. Details can be viewed in ICRA’s website.

TRADE MARK

The company has recently received trade mark in respect of name ‘Ripley’ and company’s published logo and have since obtained TM numbers with entitlements to use the letters ‘TM’.

RIDING ON UTILITY

Floating crane/barge supporting inland water transport. The shipping ministry and port authority are encouraging  the lighterage mode of operation to increase inland water transportation. Keeping this in mind, we ventured into the lighterage operation with our own floating cranes and fleet of barges.

RIDING ON THE BEST

Highest level of efficiency in design, capacity and superior performance – these are the very things that define Ripley’s range of fleets well. It boasts of more than 500 heavy mobile equipments that include mobile harbour cranes, dumpers, trailers, loaders, dozers, excavators, cranes, forklifts and surface miner. Also, it has its own fleet of barges for river.

RIDING ON TECHNOLOGY

The Group is connected  to the local and remote networks through an ERP Software that enables to track the system on REAL TIME basis. Also, to keep a close track of the operation it uses GPS System and Information system – a planning & acting tool.
